Bitucryl Primer

Description

• This solvent based acrylic primer effectively etches with the existing bitumen system creating a strong physical bond. The cured primed surface promotes adhesion of acrylic decorative coatings. The complete system is especially effective when lighter colour (cream and pastel) top coats are used.
• With the use of Bitucryl Primer consumers now have a choice when deciding on a colour for their roof finishes.
• Avoid using Bitucryl Primer on bitumen systems and bituminous aluminium coatings that are less than 3 months old.
• Being solvent based, if Bitucryl primer is over applied onto any bitumen surface, the solvent will soften the bitumen compound.
• A light coat of Bitucryl Primer is all that is required.
• When applying Bitucryl Primer use minimal pressure on each brush stroke. A heavy handed brush stroke can soften bitumen surfaces.
