GENERAL INFORMANTION AND APPLICATIONÂ
Corrugated sheeting a.k.a Victorian profile or S-Rib is a sinusoidal profile sheet, which can be attractively used for both roofing and wall cladding. The corrugated profile is roll formed with an effective cover of 10 1/2 corrugations at 76mm centres and has a rib height of approx. 17.5mm and has been successfully used in depicting the Victorian or Caper vernacular style. Youngman Roofing is the only company in the Western Cape with facilities to smooth-curve corrugated sheeting which is used for Victorian style verandas with single or double s-curved roof designs; circular farm dams and vaulted and vaulted roofs ect. Youngman Roofing is also able to mechanically crank the corrugated profile radius.
SHEET LENGTH AND RECOMMENDED PITCH:
Able to supply and deliver Corrugated sheets up to 15 meters in length using own vehicles. Delivery of sheets up to 22 meters in length can be arranged by special request at an additional cost. Corrugated roof sheeting is not recommended for roof pitches less than 15 degrees and rather lends itself to steeply pitched roofs (25 – 45 degrees) and sheet length less than 10 meters long for handling reasons . We would always recommend a single side-lap (never a double side-lap) and the use of a Butyl sealing tape along the side-lap if the pitch is at a minimum.
